Surprisingly, the use of a particular glaucoma medication was bringing headache relief to some patients who had migraine disease as well. This medication contains prostaglandins... The interesting thing is that prostaglandins are usually associated with causing pain, not preventing it... This medication is now undergoing a clinical trial for use as a migraine preventive treatment.
